Wood & Water

Rewrite stories to reshape systems.

Wood & Water is a social enterprise dedicated to a world where global development stories inspire action towards racial justice for all. We use reparative storytelling to drive racial, gender, and economic change. By rewriting stories, we influence how people are portrayed and problems are understood, reshaping policy, practice, and systems.

It’s not enough to ‘diversify’ the humanitarian aid and development sectors. We need to evolve these sectors core narratives, so they acknowledge the colonial and post-colonial systems that shape today’s humanitarian crises — and our international responses.
